May 10th, 2016 Journal: Day 8-9 of 21 Day Fix Challenge.


Patience , persistence and perspiration make an unbeatable combination for success.


Greetings Family & Friends,

Hope everyone had a terrific Tuesday. I had a great day today. Just finished my workout and ran a bit before I picked up my son from school.  Still a little sore here and there but I’m pushing through.  Feel some soreness on my hips and pain on the bottom of my right foot.  Still not near to where I would like to be but I’m pushing through each day.

Yesterday, was completely crash day.  I did manage to walk for 4-5 km with my wife and youngest son before we picked up the eldest from school.  It was just one of those rare days when the body just shuts down on me and passes out for 8-12 hours. Yesterday was roughly 10 hrs of straight sleep.  I hadn’t had those for a long time.  Working graveyards I usually get 2-5 hrs sleep Monday to Thursday.  Just how it is for now.

Tomorrow will be my 1st 10 km for the week.  Hopefully, I can make some good time but my body doesn’t feel at its best.  Hopefully, I can make some progress and get myself back to game shape.  I think I will pass on the ‘Color Me Radd’ 5 km run this coming Saturday and just focus on getting my training up to a full hour each day.  It has been tough but I know where I can improve on and that is planning ahead of time.  Hope I can get there soon again.
