January 2016 Fitness Challenge: Last Day! First Day!

“With the new day comes new strength and new thoughts.”  –ELEANOR ROOSEVELT

Greetings Family & Friends,

Hope everyone had a wonderful start to week.  Technically, Sundays are the start of the week and that is when I start to work and plan the rest of my week.  Today, is the last day of my 3 Day Cleanse and first day of my 3 Week Fitness Challenge for January.  I am at awe tonight with how much I’ve lost so far.  I’ve lost about 3 lbs these 3 days(175.8 lbs -> 172.9 lbs).  What really is shocking is if you go back to Monday (Jan 4) I was at 180.3 lbs.  That is just over 7 lbs loss from the Christmas & New Year festivity.

It wasn’t easy from January 4th but my body didn’t have the huge cravings it did to end the year. It just shut off from the other foods that were available.  I had snacks here and there but I also refrained from eating out much.  Even had some family time last Thursday but I’ve made my adjustments with my meal plan. Can you even imagine what it would have been if I didn’t have the lunch at White Spot? But I’m grateful with time with family.

It’s been a great start to the year.  I’m near my lowest weight of 169 lbs back in April of 2015.  Hopefully, I hit that before the month ends. Like preparing every Sunday to have a balance week, I prepared 2016 by preparing back in December.  Life doesn’t have to be a complete makeover that we always do by making New Year Resolutions.  It’s about taking the Kaizen approach and improving yourself little by little each day.  And like one of my mentors I respect very much.  The New Year should be a refreshing of the mind for plans that you’ve already have in place.  In order for us to get the results that we want, we need to plant each day and sooner you will be able to harvest each day if you stay consistent and build momentum/compound from it.  All the very best on your journey!

Greetings Family & Friends!

Hope everyone is having an awesome TGIF!  It’s been a busy last two days for me.  Just getting my workouts in and a few I missed Thursday night because of the whole day appointments.  Just another day in my life and part of the journey to be better overall.  I’m lucky that I took a paid day off today or else I would be going on 2 hrs of sleep for 42 hrs of being up. Just had my son’s allergy appointment yesterday afternoon with my monthly real estate workshop from REIN. Plus, my Friday Morning Odyssey servicing that happens twice a year.  Forgot to mention my dental appointment that I had on Wednesday.  It really was a busy week for me.  If you want to lose weight, have a busy schedule which I don’t recommend… lol.

I’ve lost about 2 lbs for those 2 days alone. Luckily, with my Shakeology I wasn’t hungry or tempted to snack.  Doing my best to turn over a new leaf and stay true to making positive changes for the better.  Strength is good so far but I need to get some needed rest tonight after I complete my workouts and a few more tasks.  I start my 3 Day Cleanse today to help detox my body for my appointment on February 24th.  I will do another 1 earlier on February.  My meals are ready for Sun to Mon.  It will overlap my 21 Day Fix Challenge Group that starts on Monday but it was such a busy last two days. Gotta do what you gotta do to stay on track.  The goal is to get to 150 lbs by February 24th for my visit to ‘The Healthy Heart Program’.  My cravings are way down now so I’m hoping to finally hit under 170 again since April of 2014.  This time around I’ll be more consistent and remove a lot of distractions that I’ve faced last year.  With 1 year of experience under my belt, I’m ready to take full control of my life and hopefully build more trust with my community as a Coach who will positively support you till you reach your goal.

There is a lot to do and achieve in this life. We only have one life to live so make the most of it. Progress yourself so that you can reach bigger achievements.  Don’t settle for being average. Don’t settle for being normal. Raise yourself and live an extraordinary life with your love ones.  The bigger you grow your circle, your community, the bigger your achievements are and creating a positive impact on people’s health & life for the better.  We can only teach happiness, health & prosperity if we’ve been through it and a product of it.  We must strive to be that guiding light, that example, for those to see it is possible.  It is great for you and your family but imagine if you can create that for others also.  You won’t be celebrating alone and you won’t be celebrating with people who don’t understand what you went through or a stronger connection that you went through the fire with them.  Strong connections create everlasting memories! So continue to build yourself and the rest will follow!

God Bless,

PS: Will be starting a new section of Gratitude to attract positive changes to my life.

I’m grateful today for:

  • Re-connecting with a friend I haven’t seen since last summer.
  • For my wife and kids for being so supportive of my journey to be healthy.
  • That I can help my friends re-connect and help each other out.

Greetings Family & Friends,

Hope everyone had a wonderful Wednesday.  It was a easy day day today and it began with a positive mindset before I left my house.  I cheered, silently… lol, before I left the house.  Sounds silly but who cares.  Saw this on a episode of TEDTV: Life Hacks.  If you guys have Netflix then you will be able to find it or search youtube.

It’s always great to get compliments when you commit to your well-being.  Went for my dental appointment and my dentist complimented me on my changes and the discipline needed to stay on it.  It isn’t easy but when you have bigger goals then you out talk yourself why you need to keep going.  It is easy to talk yourself out of working out and give in to your feelings so you have to remember why you are doing it.

So far I’ve worked on my meal plan since this Monday chipped off almost 3 lbs.  I’m still feel fatigue during the workouts but I’m better today than yesterday.  I tweaked my right peck so I’ll have to miss the weights tonight.  Heal it up so and tackle it again the next day.  I worked the legs & abs today so I got some burn in.  I’ll have to find a way to get the extra workouts in because I haven’t been getting it in since I committed to working 3 pm – 7 pm Monday – Friday.  Not easy with 2 young boys either. Currently, typing with 1 hand while holding Tristan with the other hand.  It’s my challenge and I won’t change it for anything. I love my boys.

January 2016 Fitness Challenge: “Year of Getting Results!”

“We delight in the beauty of the butterfly, but rarely admit the changes it has gone through to achieve that beauty.” – MAYA ANGELOU

Greetings Family & Friends,

Hope everyone had a terrific Tuesday!  Staying on track with my new schedule but it never seems enough time… lol.  My workout is over 1 hr long so it eats up that 4 hour part-time self development.  It’s a working progress and just a few day into it.  Once I develop a system to get all my tasks done then we are talking.  Today I wasn’t feeling strong through my abs & upper body workouts.  Just wasn’t feeling the strength to maximize those exercises and keep up to the reps.  Maybe I didn’t have enough fuel today.  I did manage to get back down to 178.7 lbs but still haven’t gotten into the full portion control meal plan.  Probably will be getting into that later this week as my 3 Day Refresh before I start another session of the 21 Day Fix Challenge Group.

I’ve dedicated that this year will be the “Year of Getting Results!”  I was on and off during Summer and Fall because I was enjoying a sample of the beachbody life… lol.  Plus, dealing with negative vibes in my life that has almost moved on.  Have to limit your exposure to those that don’t understand you and hinder your progress for a better life.  You can’t cut them out completely but you can just limit your time and spend it on what will make you better each day.  I need to understand that this is the phase of building and it will take some time to get results.  All I can do on my end is workout, eat right and live right.  The rest is up to the universe and how it will align on my journey.  Just gotta focus on doing those and enjoy doing it.  It shouldn’t be about earning a living but enjoying it regardless.  It’s like a hobby that we love to do.  We don’t earn anything from doing it but we just love doing it because it is our passion.  It is part of our life and our happiness.

We all have to go through our cocoon that will change us for the better.  No one will help us get out of our shell.  It is up to us to do that.  If we do get help then it takes away from us being strong and really learning it for ourselves.  The struggles are real but once you accept it and focus on a real solution to it then you will grow into a beautiful butterfly.  We are all capable of change but we place limitations and beliefs on ourselves.  We are so fortunate that we life in a country that gives us freedom to make our choices.  We just make bad choices and blame others on it.  It is how we see the same image and situation.  We can let it work in our favor or let it keep us in the dark.  Once again, that is your choice to believe what you want to believe.  Either way, you are right on both fronts.  We are all unique but our situation isn’t.  Make this brand new year a year that you will finally makes changes for yourself so that you can “Get Results!”

“Do one thing every day that scares you.” – ELEANOR ROOSEVELT

Greeting Family & Friends,

Hope everyone had a wonderful Monday.  Mondays aren’t usually a fan favorite for anyone but I look at it as a fresh start to make it the best week ever.  I treat it one day at a time so I don’t really look at it as Monday.  I wanna make the most of each day given so I look forward to the day each morning & I’m happy at the end of the day.  Yes, each day is filled with it’s own challenge but I don’t hold on to it long.  I’ll be honest that I react to it sometimes because I’m determined to spend my time focus on my goals but I get back on track and accept it is part of my growth.  I just wanna get better everyday.  Even this year, I scheduled my fitness and personal growth Monday-Friday 3 pm – 7 pm so I don’t put it off until I come around to it.  I focus for those 4 hours and I give the freedom my wife needs outside though hours so we can really make huge progress & momentum for our future.

There are a lot of new things coming up and I’m excited but first things first and that is my results.  I feel strong and feel great but physical results creates believers so that is what I have to do this month and make it permanent this year.  I have a challenge on my hand but I also have a lot of race this year with my teammates so I know that will be happening really soon.  The Healthy Heart Program is coming up really soon so that is my goal.  August 2015 I weighed in at 178 so I wasted two months on personal challenges and eliminated that and more to devote my time to my fitness & my success.  You only need one thing in life to prosper and my health has given me so much more in 2015 and I owe it to myself and my family to continue down that path till my last breath.  Health and Wealth goes hand in hand and I’m in the best position to do those both with the same time.  It will all come down to my results.  Let’s get to it!

Greetings Family  & Friends,

Hope everyone had a special Sunday!  However you spend this Sunday, make it special.  If it is with family or time out with friends makes sure you enjoy it and put a big smile on your face.  It is said that a smile a day can increase your life.  Do it often and you can start to add years to your life.  The body loves to be in a happy state and in a active state just adds years to your life.  Watched it on TEDTV… lol!  I finished my workout and went out in the cold in my tank top & shorts.  Not sure if it was good for me but I didn’t feel the cold much.  I’ll have to google that after this post. Haha!

Getting closer to my next and hopefully last check in to the Healthy Heart Program on February. I’m 25 lbs away from my goal I’ve set with my doctor.  It will be a challenging times to get to 150 in 6 weeks but it can be done.  Really need to focus on my eating plan because exercise isn’t the problem anymore.  I’m still not at my peak with my exercise but I know I will be a lot stronger this year than last year.  I’ve removed many obstacles and distractions last year so I can just focus on my health and training.

We just need to believe in ourselves and push on each day.  With 1 year of experience under my belt, I know I can do it and created my monthly systems to stay on track.  Yes, there are new challenges as well with my son in Kindergarten & my monthly meetings with my other passion in Real Estate Investing but it’s about balance.  It’s about planning ahead before making any commitments.  Keep reminding yourself what you want to achieve so that you won’t give in to the challenges & vices that life will put on your journey. Above all, don’t forget to smile & have fun improving yourself because each day you commit improves your future.

January 2016 Fitness Challenge: You are Unique but your Situation isn’t

Standard

“Whatever you are, be a good one.” – ABRAHAM LINCOLN

Greetings Family & Friends,

Hope everyone had an awesome Saturday.  Had an early start to my day got my workouts done early.  Wife was tired from work so I spent most of the day with the boys.  Not an easy thing to juggle watching over the kids and working on your personal growth.  You won’t be able to give it your 110% focus if you do them at the same time.  I tried listening to motivational audio while working on my website with the minimal time my wife gave me and the audio just went in one ear and out the other.  I was focused on my website that I didn’t hear the important message from Jim Rohn on Personal Development.  I got some work done but I’m two days into 2016 and haven’t went into full swing with creating systems for the few projects I want to implement this year.

Just gotta do what you can with the time you have.  The road to success was never an easy path but you must press on regardless of the situation.  You must prosper where you are planted.  Whatever you are located and whatever the situation or challenges you face, it very important to not give into it.  Your goals, dreams, your ‘Whys’ must be held close to your heart and must be strong enough to light the way even in the darkest of times.  We are all unique individuals but our situations and challenges are not.  There are others that gone through the fire, kept their vision for a better life close and succeed.  It may take a lengthy process to achieve depending the work & efforts you can put to your plan but it will never be as long as giving up and doing nothing.  The exit from the dark cave won’t come to you unless you walk and search for it.  You must do your part in order to succeed.

Everyone sees the results of a successful people but they don’t see the challenges, the efforts and failures that they had to endure to reach their dreams.  It wasn’t given to them, they had to work for it and sacrifice many things.  They reached their darkest moments in life but came out of it stronger than ever.  Success & results require changes in how you do things and battle harden mindset to overcome any challenges.  The real secret to success is from the journey itself and not the dividends that you get from it.  Those are just bonus from the experiences, knowledge & wisdom that you were able to attain from the challenge.  Once you go through it and overcome it, then you will not fail from the situation ever again.  Majority of our challenges are created by us and our believe in ourselves.  If we can only download it directly to our brains like the movie, The Matrix, then we all won’t have any fears.  But not having the tools and the fear of the unknown are too scary for some to attempt.  We don’t want to strikeout on our first time at bat and that is why we don’t get anywhere because we don’t even want to get up to the batters box.

Whatever you are doesn’t have to dictate your future if you aren’t happen with where you are currently.  What you want to be must be attained from deciding that you will do whatever it takes to change for good.  How you are doing things now will equal to the same thing at the end.  You can throw money and/or let someone do the work for you but you will never have the knowledge to understand how it all works.  What you think is an increase in your lifestyle is actually a small slice to the pie for putting some time to developing yourself.  Money and fortunes will be lost as fast as you receive it because you don’t see the value of what it takes to attain it.  When the well runs dry then what will you do next?  You are back to square one with no knowledge and experience on how you created your extra paycheck.  We all want the lifestyle but none of the work to keep the lifestyle.  Invest in yourself with the time that is given to you.  Do it now or do it as soon as you can.  Time will pass regardless of what you do so use your 24 hrs a day wisely.  Don’t neglect your responsibilities but don’t blow your future for instant gratifications.  If you aren’t happy with your situation then you cannot say you earned the downtime.   We all have our challenges but we can overcome it when we choose and commit to it.

God Bless,

Ryan Jarata
